About the Population White Paper, many people feel that not enough consultation has been done, and that it was bulldozed through Parliament after a 5 days debate.
Some suggested that perhaps the government should release a Green Paper – which is a Paper preceding the White Paper, and of which purpose to lay out the broad framework of any policy proposals, and to seek wide ranging consultation. After that has been done, then move on to the releasing the White Paper for Parliament to consider.
That being said, should the government still consult the people on the population issue?
Some people suggested a Referendum on the White Paper. Should we have one? Do people want one?
